Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
This policy explains what this website does with the information you choose to share when you send an inquiry through the contact form. It applies to this website only.
What this website is
This is a professional information website for Dr. Josh Kirby, a clinical psychologist based in Dallas, Texas. It is not a patient portal, a telehealth service, or a substitute for clinical care. Sending an inquiry through the form does not create a therapist–client relationship, and the form is not intended for clinical or health information.
This website is not offered as a HIPAA-covered service and does not hold itself out as a secure messaging system. If you are already a client of Dr. Kirby’s practice, your clinical records are governed by your practice’s own privacy notice, not by this page. Please do not send sensitive health details through this form.
Information the inquiry form collects
When you submit the contact form, four things are collected:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The area of interest you selected (for example, therapy, advisory work, speaking, or Wayfinder)
- The message you typed
The date and time the inquiry was sent are recorded automatically. Nothing else about you is collected by the form.
Where that information goes
Each inquiry is stored in this website’s own database, hosted by the platform that runs the site. The entries are not readable by other visitors and are not exposed publicly.
At the same time, the inquiry is emailed to Dr. Kirby’s designated inbox so he can reply. These notifications are sent through the website platform’s email service, from the sending address notify.drjoshkirby.com. Your own email address is included as the reply address, so pressing “reply” answers you directly.
Because the message passes through an email provider on its way to the inbox, the inquiry form should be treated as ordinary email rather than as a confidential or encrypted channel.
Analytics, cookies, and tracking
This website does not use analytics services, advertising cookies, tracking scripts, social media pixels, or session recording tools. It does not place cookies on your device to identify you, build a profile, or follow you across other sites, and it does not sell or share your information for marketing.
One technical detail is worth naming: this site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google receives the standard request details your browser sends with any web request, including your IP address. No fonts or other assets are served in a way that identifies you to this website.
How long inquiries are kept
Inquiries are kept so that Dr. Kirby can respond and, where appropriate, follow up. There is no automatic deletion schedule or fixed retention period configured on this website.
On request, a saved inquiry can be copied and sent back to you, or permanently deleted from the website’s database and from the inbox where the notification was delivered.
If this policy changes
If the way this website handles information changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above will be revised. The version posted at the time you send an inquiry is the one that applies to it.
