Learn moreA Premise
Psychological depth. Practical movement.
Dr. Kirby's work begins with a simple premise: the patterns affecting our relationships, decisions, leadership, and sense of direction usually make more sense when we understand what is happening beneath the surface.
As a clinical psychologist, practice owner, and advisor, he helps people develop that understanding and translate it into meaningful movement.
Psychology Practice
For the patterns that are difficult to shift alone.
Dr. Kirby supports individuals navigating anxiety, OCD and intrusive thoughts, ADHD, emotional patterns, family dynamics, life transitions, and questions of identity and direction.
He helps couples understand recurring conflict, work through disconnection, and build trust and closeness. He also supports couples who are doing well, but desire the space to reflect on life’s demands and their relationship together.
His approach is warm and collaborative, and directive when appropriate, integrating evidence-based psychology with careful attention to emotional experience, formative relationships, values, and everyday life.
Private Advisory & Coaching
Perspective for the decisions and demands of a full life.
Dr. Kirby is developing a focused advisory and coaching practice, accepting a limited number of engagements with individuals and organizations. Engagements may be brief and focused around a particular decision, transition, or season of life, or develop into an ongoing advisory relationship.
This practice will also include Wayfinder, a comprehensive personal profile created by Dr. Kirby with the option of an ongoing guided process that brings together psychological insight with practical next steps.
Advisory and coaching are distinct from psychotherapy.
Speaking & Workshops
Conversations that make complex ideas usable.
Dr. Kirby enjoys speaking and facilitating workshops on emotional health, relationships, leadership, performance, and spiritual formation. His teaching combines clinical insight, current psychological research, and practical application in a way that is thoughtful, accessible, and engaging.
Topics and format can be tailored to support the goals of your organization, professional team, or group.
